Road conditions at the time of the crash were described as compact snow with sleet.
Traffic was stopped for approximately one hour before re-opening for single lane alternating.
The 53-year-old driver of the tractor trailer was issued a violation ticket for allegedly speeding relative to conditions contrary to section 144 (1)(c) of the BC Motor Vehicle Act.
Revelstoke RCMP want to remind motorists to adhere to the rules of the road and drive according to the conditions as further snowfall is expected in the area.
