Hit and Run Update: Can you identify this suspect?

Burnaby RCMP continue to investigate a hit and run incident which took place on Wednesday July 4, 2018 and resulted in one of our officers being injured.
On July 4, 2018, at 10 a.m. a Burnaby RCMP officer was attempting to stop a vehicle at Willingdon Avenue and Parker Street after the officer observed the driver allegedly using an electronic device behind the wheel. The driver failed to stop, hitting the officer and continued south on Willingdon Avenue. The original release relating to this incident can be found here.
Today police are releasing the video below which shows the suspect and the suspect vehicle involved in this incident.
The video shows the following:
- The male suspect walks from the suspect vehicle into the store.
- The male suspect walks to a fridge in the store and goes to the counter to pay.
The suspect vehicle is a grey Dodge Nitro SUV, similar to the one pictured below on the left. BC License plate number PK994H.

The suspect is described as a south Asian male, heavy build with a shaved head. He is 5’9 tall and was wearing a white t-shirt, grey sweatpants. He also has a tattoo on his left arm.
The officer hurt in this hit and run suffered a broken arm and was released from hospital on July 4, 2018. The officer is expected to return to duty in the coming months.
The police officer involved has asked that we extend sincere thanks to the members of the public who assisted after the incident took place. By stopping traffic and protecting our injured officer they prevented the potential for further injury occurring.
