File # 2018-32526

RCMP in West Kelowna are looking to identify a young male, as they attempt to further their investigation into an early morning break and enter and theft from the community’s local public pool facility in mid-June.

On June 13, 2018 shortly after 3 am, West Kelowna RCMP responded to a commercial alarm at the Johnson Bentley Aquatic Centre located in the 3700 block of Old Okanagan Highway. Police attended the facility where they were met by a property representative.

Investigators cleared the building and discovered that a suspect or suspects removed more that 2 dozen coin boxes from the lockers in the change rooms. It is believed that the suspect or suspects fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police have conducted a review of the facilities video surveillance, states RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. Our investigators are interested in identifying and speaking with an individual depicted in the attached photo, who they believe has information valuable to the ongoing investigation.

Image captured from video surveillance which shows the young male police are seeking help to identify. The young male is described as Caucasian, with long dark hair, seen wearing a black hoodie, brown pants, a black toque and a pair of red shoes with white laces;
